About Me

IMG_6194 (3)My name is Tunazzina Abedin. Food is my passion. Having grown up in three different continent and coming from a family that loves food, I have been exposed to food from many different cultures. This has led me to appreciate the exquisite variety that the world has to offer. This has led me to the kitchen where I can experiment to my hearts content and also try to re-create and re-live the fond memories of the past.

Growing up loved Mom, Grandma, Aunts and Uncles cooking. They have their own individual cooking styles. As a child I only observed and was sometimes allowed to help with things that would be safe for a child.

During my teenage years, I started to bake and also started to try making recipes, from various parts of the world, that I found in my small but growing cookbook collection. This was just the beginning. Once I finished high school and went off to university, I started to cook some easy, quick meals. I often learned new things from my close friends some of whom had a lot more experience in cooking than I did. During this time I also started to increase my collection of cookbooks and recipes.

After school, as I started working I started spending more time in the kitchen. I started to experiment in the kitchen trying to replicate things I had liked at a restaurant. Through experiments, through learning from others and research on-line and cookbooks, I have accumulated some knowledge in this vast sea that is the culinary world.

This webpage is my way of sharing with family and friends my journey in this culinary world. Join me in my adventures :). I should mention that for religious reasons, my cooking and recipes will not include any pork products and alcoholic beverages. Hope you enjoy it.

  2. I’ve recently switched my food blog over to be self-hosted which I hope will make it more user-friendly in the future. As a result, if you were following Can’t Stay Out of the Kitchen via email, WordPress, or using RSS feeds through Google Reader or some other way, you are no longer subscribed. If you wish to continue receiving future posts from my blog you will need to re-subscribe. Sorry for the inconvenience, Teresa.

  3. Thanks for following my blog. I hope you enjoy the recipes. I’ve got lots of delicious Red Velvet goodies posted up on the blog at the moment.
