If you are looking to make a special meal for a special someone or just for yourself, this recipe might just be what you are looking for. It is simple, ready in minutes and has that wow factor – because it is lobster after all! If you think that lobsters are too expensive (I know I used to think that), then just look around at your local grocers and you might just find a special deal being offered. Often these deals coincide with times when they know you are in the mood to celebrate like valentines day. I served these as part of my main course for that elaborate birthday dinner along with some steamed vegetables and herb crusted rack of lamb. Without further ado I shall get to the recipe so that you can see for yourself how easy it really is.
Garlic Butter Lobster
Serves 2
Prep Time: 5-10 minutes
Cooking Time: 8-10 minutes
Ingredients:
2 Lobster Tails, cut into half lengthwise (I used two 4-5 oz tails)
4 tablespoon Butter
Salt to taste
Pepper to paste
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, (adjust to taste)
1/4 teaspoon dried herb of your choice
1/8 teaspoon paprika (optional)
Pre-heat oven to 350 F.
In a small bowl mix all ingredients except the lobster. Set aside.
In a baking tray or an oven safe pan, arrange the lobster tails with shell side down. Spread the butter mixture evenly over the lobster meat. Place in the hot oven and back for about 8-10 minutes or until done.
Notes:
- When choosing which herb to use, use a mild herb like coriander, chive to preserve the delicate flavour of the lobster.
- I use paprika for the lovely colour it gives the food.
- Any size lobster tails can be used.
- Cooking time may vary from oven to oven.
