Bengali cooking often uses spices that one doesn’t usually come across in other recipes. Nigella seeds, known in Bengali as Kalojeera, are one such ingredient. It is well known in the Bengali households for its great health benefits.

You can try at your local Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi grocery store. They may be called Kalonji or Kalijeera.
